PCPartWatch lists storage drives sold on Amazon and eBay and ranks them by price per terabyte, so you can see which drive gives you the most storage for your money.

How prices are collected

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product. The same applies to eBay prices.

Listings come from the official Amazon Product Advertising API and the eBay Browse API. Prices are refreshed on a schedule, normally once a day. The price shown is the lowest current listing for that drive and condition, including shipping where the seller states it.

Price history and deals

Each drive has its own page with a chart of its lowest daily price and a list of similar drives. A drive is marked as below average when today’s best price is clearly lower than its average over recent weeks. The price drops page lists them all.

Visit statistics

To understand where visitors come from, PCPartWatch records each page view, and each click on a link to eBay or Amazon, with the visitor’s IP address, the approximate place it maps to (city, region, country) and the network it belongs to (your internet provider, or a data centre, which helps filter out bots). Store links go straight to the store; the click is counted in the background. This is looked up on our own server; your IP isn’t sent to any other service. Full IP addresses are kept for 365 days, then shortened so they no longer identify a device. This data is never sold or shared. The privacy page has the details.

Price alerts and your email address

If you set a price alert, your email address is used only to send that alert. Nothing is sent until you confirm, every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and addresses are never sold or shared.
