Privacy

PCPriceWatch compares drive prices from eBay and Amazon. This page says what we collect when you use it, why, how long we keep it, and how to ask for it to be deleted. We don’t sell or share personal information, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers from other companies on this site.
Visit statistics
When you load a page, we record:
- your IP address, and the approximate place it maps to (city, region, country);
- the network it belongs to (your internet provider’s name, or a data centre, which helps us filter out bots);
- the page, the site that linked you here (its name only), whether you’re on a phone or a computer, and anything you type into the search box;
- when you click a link to eBay or Amazon: which drive and which store. The link itself goes straight to the store; your browser tells us about the click in the background.
The place and network are looked up on our own server, from a database we download (IP geolocation by DB-IP). Your IP address isn’t sent to anyone else. We use these records to see where visitors come from, which drives interest them, and which links are broken, and to keep bots out of the numbers.
How long: full IP addresses are kept for 365 days. After that the last part is removed (for example 203.0.113.0), so it no longer points to a device. Shortened records and totals are kept.
Price alerts
If you set a price alert, we store your email address, what you’re watching and your target price, when you signed up and confirmed, and the IP address you signed up from (to stop abuse). Your address is used only to send your alerts. Nothing is sent until you confirm, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe we keep a record that you did, so we never email you again; ask us and we’ll delete it entirely.
Cookies
We use a few small cookies to remember your choices. None of them track you across other sites.

eBay and Amazon
Links to eBay and Amazon are affiliate links: if you buy something, the store may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases; eBay links are eBay Partner Network links. When you follow one, you’re on their site, and their privacy notices apply, including the cookies they use to credit the sale: eBay User Privacy Notice, Amazon Privacy Notice.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Reply to any email we’ve sent you. To help us find your records, include your email address (for alerts) or your IP address and roughly when you visited (for visit statistics). We answer within 30 days.
You can also unsubscribe from alerts at any time from any alert email, and clear our cookies in your browser; the site works without them, it just won’t remember your choices.
Children
This site isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
